“Laundromat” - Art Director
Jo, a curious seven-year-old, lives with his mother Lena in a worn laundromat they call home. While Lena quietly worries about immigration authorities and the separation from Joe’s other mother in Brazil, Jo spends his days going on adventures with his best friend Danny who works in the Taiwanese restaurant next door. Their innocent world shatters one night when ICE officers enter the laundromat and detain Lena and Jo, leaving Danny powerless to stop it.
